The text starts from the declared dissatisfaction of the English theatrical thinker Edward Gordon Craig with the theater, especially in relation to the work of the actor and actress, which are considered imprecise and exaggerated. We hypothesized that one of the solutions for such dissatisfaction with the theater would be the strict control over the artistic material, obtained in the cinematographic practice, when a route of the idea of mastery of the material was traced, which passes through Meierhold and Eisenstein.
